Education is Key.

Every year, Doctors of Chiropractic have to take many hours of continuing education to maintain their degrees. This requirement allows them to learn new skills and techniques to better treat their patients. Here are some of the additional certifications Dr. Anna has attained.

Continuing Education and Additional Certifications

Meridian Therapy Certification

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient chinese medicine that focuses on the flow of qi through different meridians of the body. Balancing the flow of qi can help relieve stress and pain in the body.

Webster Certification

Perinatal Care

The Webster technique is a gentle chiropractic adjustment that enhances the neuro-biomechanical function in the sacral and pelvic regions.  By addressing this joint dysfunction, the Webster Technique helps relieve pain while creating a more balanced pelvic environment.  This can alleviate factors contributing to dystocia (difficult or abnormal labor) ultimately supporting safer, smoother births.

ICPA Perinatal Certification

Perinatal Care

This course includes topics such as maternal biomechanics and fetal presentations, parental nutrition, and pelvic floor function. Dr. Anna loves watching expectant mothers change and grow!

CACCP ICPA Pediatric Certification

Pediatric Care

Naturally, Corning Family Chiropractic provides full-family care. This program allows for assesment and treatment of newborns, infants, toddlers, children, pre-teens, and even teenagers!

CCEP (Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner)

Extremity Adjustment

Chiropractic may be spine-based, but this education allows Dr. Anna to work on hands, feet, knees, wrists and more! The CCEP certification method utilizes muscle and reflex testing to identify and treat subluxations in the extremities.

CKTP (Certified Kinesio Tape Practitioner)

Kinesio Tape Application

Theraputic kinesio tape can help relieve pain from inflammation, lymphedema, and trigger points. This training utilizes kinesio tape to treat muscle and joint pain. Two common reasons for kinesio tape include pregnancy and athletic injuries.

FMT (Functional Movement Training) Basic and Advance Kinesiology Taping Certification

RockTape™ Kinesio Tape Application

This training demonstrates therapeutic taping with RockTape™ as a rehabilitation and performance intervention by expanding on anatomy and physiology of myofascial lines in the human body.
